3. Data Collection When Visiting This Website
Server Log Files
When you visit this website, our hosting provider automatically collects information in what are known as server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- browser type and version
- operating system used
- referrer URL
- hostname of the accessing computer
- time of the server request
- IP address
This data is not combined with data from other sources. This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and security of our website — the server log files must be recorded for this purpose.
4. Hosting with Cloudflare
This website is hosted with Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA ("Cloudflare"). Cloudflare provides the technical infrastructure (including content delivery network, DDoS protection, caching and delivery of website content) and, in doing so, processes personal data on our behalf — in particular IP addresses and the server log data described in section 3.
This processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the reliable, fast and secure delivery of our website by a specialized provider. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Cloudflare. Insofar as data is transferred to the USA in this context, Cloudflare relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses as an appropriate safeguard within the meaning of Art. 46 GDPR.
Further information can be found in Cloudflare's privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
5. Cookies
This website deliberately does not use tracking or marketing cookies. No cookies are currently used for analytics, marketing or profiling purposes, and your usage behavior is not evaluated in any way. Should we introduce such technologies at a later date, we will ask for your consent in advance where legally required, and will update this privacy policy accordingly.
6. Fonts
For consistent typography, this website uses the "Montserrat" font. The font file is served exclusively from our own server. There is no connection to servers operated by Google or any other external font provider, and no data is transmitted to third parties in this regard.
7. Contacting Us
If you contact us by email, phone or any other means, the information you provide (e.g. name, contact details, content of your message) will be stored by us for the purpose of processing your inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, provided your inquiry serves to initiate a contract, otherwise Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry. We do not pass your data on to third parties without your consent.
8. SSL/TLS Encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that your browser's address bar changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock icon in your browser's address bar.
9. Duration of Storage
Unless a more specific storage period has been named within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for the data processing no longer applies. If you legitimately request the deletion of your data or revoke your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for continued storage (e.g. retention periods under tax or commercial law).
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements or to reflect changes to our services in the privacy policy. Your renewed visit will then be subject to the new privacy policy.
